Special curiosity: Srdjan Djordjevič is the only Coach in the World who helped two of his Athletes to be acquitted of drug abuse charges! And succeeded in both the cases The firs one goes back into 1990, when "his" long-jumper Borut Bilač had to return his bronze medal (under charges) at the European Championship in Split, but was lately given the medal back. His second "drug case" occurred ten years later: this time he managed to prove the IAAF officials' mistake in Merlene Ottey's "nandrolone case" - and thus helped her to go to Sydney and win her eights Olympic medal. |
