 The
educational programme titled "Adopt a sport"
was planned by the ATHENS 2004 Organising Committee
for the Olympic Games, in cooperation with the
Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs.
It is addressed to school boys and girls aged 10 to
15, who wish to get to know from close range the
second most important sporting institution in the
world - the Paralympic Games.
The
programme aims at the active participation of young
people in the unique experience of staging the
Paralympic Games. Its implementation will begin in
March 2003 and will be completed upon the commencement
of the Athens Paralympic Games, in September 2004.
