Jolanda Steblovnik Čeplak was born on septembr, 12. 1976 in Velenje.
Her greatest achievements so far: golden medal and world record at European Championship in Vienna 2002, three Ggrand Prix IAF wins, 4. th. place at the Indoor EC in Gent - Belgium 2000, 5. place at Indoor WC in Lisbon (Portugal) 2001, 3. place at Junior EC in Hungary 1995 (1500 m);
Personal Bests: 400 m - 54,60, 800 m - 1:58,71 (Outdoor), 1:55,82 (Indoor), 1500 m - 4:13,19.

Though only a few days before leaving for Sydney Jolanda wasn't told whether she'll be allowed to compete at 800 m individually, (due to stupid restrictions and internal rules of our Athletic Association, but there was no doubt she'll be a member of our relay at 4 x 400 m.
"We're capable of improving our national record and we'll see what place could we achieve by doing so at the Games", she said a day before leaving Ljubljana.
