Yes, it started here, over 1.000 years ago, when we, Slovenians managed to established our own State for the first time in our stormy and sometimes furious history. In Krnski grad near Celovec (nowadays an Austrian Town Klagenfurt) we have had our first "governors" being crowned.

At "Knežji kamen", which is now being stored in Klagenfurt City Museum, they were being crowned.
