Maribor is the Capital of Štajerska Region and is probably the most known worldwide by the oldest grapevine in the World, over 400 hundred years old one that can be seen almost in the centre of the City - at Lent.

Only a few kilometres from the City there is a famous skiing centre at Pohorje - known by its Alpine Ski World Cup Competition for Women - "Pohorska lisica"
