Below is a hand written statement Merlene wrote at her Press Conference held in Grand Hotel Union in Ljubljana on July 5.th 2000, in which she thanked all her Fans for the support during her struggle. "The
nandrolone case" had a great impact on Merlene Ottey's
career and nearly threatened image of an exceptional top
class athlete, but thankfully justice prevailed at
last on July 3.rd the IAAF special Tribunal 
For those of you who have bad monitors
or sore eyes,
here's what Merlene wrote today:
"It has been one year of stress, but thankfully it's finally over - we won.
Many, many thanks to all my fans for your support and confidence in me.
I am very happy that I will be back racing soon, hopefully my presence and results will continue to thrill you".
